Ringing the Bell

Beltone Financial is organizing First Egypt Day at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on February 4th, 2008. It will be a unique occasion that will include ringing the Closing Bell on the NYSE Trading Floor. The Ceremony will be broadcast on terrestrial TV worldwide, reaching tens of millions of viewers.

Also, the event recognizes the official opening of Beltone Enclave, Beltone Financial’s offices in New York. Beltone is the first investment bank to open an office in North America solely dedicated to serving investing in the Middle East. Beltone Financial is the fastest growing investment bank in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA), with year-on-year Assets-Under-Management growth outperforming all other financial institutions, validating Beltone’s commitment to innovation and creative new products that take advantage of the investment opportunities in the Middle East, particularly in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the oil-rich Gulf States, where previously foreign investment was restricted.

On February 4th and February 5th panel discussions, an Investment Forum and one-on-one meetings will bring US investors together with Egypt’s corporate leaders to discuss Egypt’s role as the top performer in the Middle East’s surging economic revival.

Corporate leaders from Egypt will be joined by government ministers and representatives from the Egyptian capital markets.

Prior to the Ringing of the Bell on February a panel will discuss the benefits of investing in Egypt. Those speaking and answering questions include Mr. Duncan Niederauer, CEO of NYSE Euronext; Egypt’s Minister of Finance, His Excellency Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali; Minister of Investment, His Excellency Dr. Mahmoud Moheildin; the Chairman of Egypt’s Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchange (CASE), Mr. Maged Shawki and the heads of prominent companies in the Middle East.

Since 2003, the Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchange has consistently registered year-after-year top performances in the World, with stocks up 2000%, reflecting a surge of foreign investment into Egypt, which has risen from US$ 400 million to more than $11.1 billion in the latest financial year.

On February 5th, Beltone Financial will host an Investment Forum ‘Unique Opportunities in the Middle East’ where investors will have opportunities for one-on-one meetings with leaders from Egypt’s companies and capital markets.

The recognition celebrations begin with a cocktail reception at The Four Seasons Hotel on 3rd February. After the Closing Bell Ceremony a cocktail reception will be held on the NYSE Trading Floor, followed by an Egyptian Night Gala Dinner at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The forum is the first in a series being sponsored by Beltone Financial. The next will be held in Doha in March, which will precede Doha Day in New York.
